WEARABLE HERITAGE
Plaid is a pattern with baggage. It comes with centuries of associations: Scottish clans and military tartans, boarding-school uniforms, a preppy sweater borrowed from someone you shouldn’t have dated. It’s been luxury (Vivienne Westwood punk, Celine checks), and it’s been deeply uncool (matching synthetic family Christmas pajamas, anyone?)
In our latest collection with American Trench, we kept the familiarity through nostalgic geometry and the suggestion of tradition, but let go of the stiffness. With colors and proportions updated, we’re aiming for quiet intention over costume.
Classic textile language, modern palette. Heritage you actually want to wear.
Proof that a pattern with history can belong in everyday life — especially on your feet.
